The Congenital Heart Walk (www.congenitalheartwalk.org) is an exciting joint effort between the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) and The Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF). This joint effort is the largest grassroots fundraiser in the U.S. created specifically to honor and remember the millions who have been impacted by congenital heart disease. The Congenital Heart Walk raises awareness and funds vital research, education, support, and advocacy programs for the congenital heart disease community.

18th Annual PRIME OF LIFE FESTIVAL
The festival is being held on Tuesday May 21st. This year the festival is a one-day event. Doors will open at 9am and the fun lasts to 2:30pm. There will be great entertainment throughout the day. High school bands, singing, and theatrical readings. It offers enjoyment for all ages as entertainers perform song, and various musical selections.
Back by popular demand is the Prime of Life Bingo. It will begin at 8:00am this year in the White Rose Room. Prizes are donated by vendors and awarded to the lucky winners. Seats always go fast so be there at the start of this event.
If education is what you are looking for then start the day with a free seminar. All of the sessions can be used to help in day to day life. Topics like Pain Management, or Lawn & Garden Care and Elder Law and Estate Planning session.
As noon approaches participating vendors in the Old Main building will offer sample cookies, cakes, soups and more at the Taste of Prime.
This year’s event promises to have exhibits from over 50 vendors where you can collect information you need or get instant answers to your questions. Subjects like travel, insurance, healthcare, senior home care, investing, retirement communities, free health screenings and so much more! It’s a full day packed with activities, fun, and local entertainment. Parking and admission are always free to the public, making this the best event of the year!
