Is the grass really greener on the other side?

I often hear people talk about their jobs or where they live, always saying they wished they worked somewhere else or lived in a different town.  But is the grass really greener on the other side?

We often as humans think that something else has got to be better especially when things are not going as planned or how we would like them to go.  We say we are going to find another job or move to another town because we simply don't like the way this or that is happening or going.  Very little do we sit back and ask ourselves; what have we done to help make the grass where we are  greener, how can we help improve our town, community and neighborhood.  The grass is simply greener on the other side because someone has take the time to water the grass. They have gotten involved, they have taken the time to actually care about the current town they live in or strive to be the best at the current job they work at. It’s amazing what a little time and energy put forth can do to help that little patch of grass we all have in this world look a little greener.

So the next time you think your job could be better or your town could be better or whatever it may be, step back and ask yourself;  am I watering the grass on my side?
