ANOTHER OVERTIME: Rollers fall to Spartans on blocked kick, 27-26

Deja vu? As the buzzer signaling the end of regulation rang at Cottage Hill on Friday, Sept. 19, Steelton-Highspire found itself in the same position it was in the week before – a tie game.

This time, the Rollers were hoping for the same outcome against Milton Hershey that they earned against Newport seven days prior – a victory. They didn't get it.

Milton Hershey edged Steel-High, 27-26 in overtime, handing the Rollers (1-3, 0-1 in the Mid-Penn Conference's Capital Division) their first loss in league play at War Veterans Memorial Field.

“We didn’t give up. We didn’t quit. We fought to the end,” Roller Coach Andrew Erby said. “It is unfortunate, but it was a hell of a ball game from both teams and a good effort – but at the end of the day we came up short.”
