Monumental Cover-Up, a poster designed by Thomas M. Notarangelo, recently was chosen as one of 226 award-winning designs in the most recent HOW International Design Awards.

Notarangelo grew up in Highspire and went to Seven Sorrows Catholic Church in Middletown. He is a 1986 graduation of Steelton-Highspire High School.

He is an adjunct professor of graphic design at York College and Carroll Community College.

The poster was self-published under Notarangelo Design and sold as prints at i-ron-ic art gallery in York.

The inspiration was the suspected sex scandals of the White House and President Donald Trump.

“I had never entered this contest before, but feel the subject matter and creative treatment would get some notice and was excited that it did,” he said.

This competition sponsored by HOW magazine honors entries from all over the world. The magazine evaluated more than 1,100 entries. Winning projects will appear in the HOW + Print book The Best of Design and online at HOWDesign.com.
