O happy Spring. Where are you? I thought the snow would be gone and we would be enjoying crocus blooms and sunny breezes. March is a tough month and we have come to expect this type of behavior! But listen, we don’t need to be down-trodden. April is around the corner with the hope of some warmer weather!
It is time to start those little seeds in egg cartons filled with potting soil. You may like to buy your seedlings (tomatoes, herbs, flowers) at Saturday’s Market or maybe at Stauffers of Kissel Hill (they are hiring), or even Walmart sometime around Mother’s Day. Perhaps you may just want to start your own veggie/flower garden in your sunny window space. Do it!
I like to germinate some of the bigger seeds in a little bit of water in a sunny spot near a window. Then when they sprout you ease them into some dirt in a flat container, keep them moist and in the sun. Egg cartons work great for this, especially the biodegradable ones. This is a wonderful way to get in the mood to garden and it also saves you money. Enjoy!
Let me know your news to share, and stay warm!

Could that possibly mean we’ll have no more snow?
Now looking forward to sunnier days,
Past April’s rain and well into May.

Life hacks
1. Still feel tired after a good night’s rest? You are probably dehydrated. Drink some water after you wake up. It is recommended you drink 16 ounces of water before you eat or drink anything else.
2. Easily hid your spare key right in your lawn or garden by using a medicine bottle. Glue a pinecone, or whatever you have in your garden, to the top and bury the bottle part.
3. A recent study found that listening to your favorite song before going to bed makes you fall asleep faster. It also found that this enhances your mood for the upcoming day.

Quote of the Week
“Of all the forces that make for a better world, none is so powerful as hope. With hope, one can think, one can work, one can dream. If you have hope, you have everything.” — Anonymous
