Borough recognizes students who excelled in Community Art Show

Winners of Middletown borough’s second annual Community Art Show were recognized during borough council’s April 16 meeting.

The show held March 30 was open to entries from all borough residents and students from Middletown Area School District. All of this year’s winners are MASD students.

Entries were judged by people who attended the show at the MCSO Building.

Each winner received a $10 gift card to one of three Middletown businesses — Kuppy’s Diner, North Pole Creamery, or J&J’s Pizza.

Each winner also received a gift card from the arts and crafts store A.C. Moore. A $10 gift card went to the third place winner, $20 to the second place winner and $40 for first place.

The winners are:

• Ages 7 and younger: third place, Mollie McDermott, second place, Ava Christian, and first place, Landon Larue.

• Ages 8 to 10: third place, Anwitha Kandula, second place, Reagan Headley, and first place (tie), Ella Sheaffer and Rachel Gatesman.

• Ages 11 to 13: third place, Katie Yoder, second place, Trinity Davis, and first place, Jessica Matincheck.
