Charges: Carlisle man threatened rental counter at airport: Lower Swatara Police Roundup

A Carlisle man has been charged with harassment and terroristic threats after he allegedly threatened to come to the Enterprise rental counter at Harrisburg International Airport armed.

According to the affidavit filed with District Judge Michael J. Smith, Todd Sterling Goodling, 45, returned a rental car at the airport July 12 and had left a satellite radio device in it.

Goodling was frustrated because he couldn’t talk to staff directly and calls were going to a central reservations call center, according to the affidavit.

He told a staff member, “I’ll be showing up there armed and ready! That’s what you asked for!” police wrote in the affidavit.

His preliminary hearing is Sept. 5.

Charge: Man sold watch illegally

A Harrisburg man has been charged after he sold a watch that had been mistakenly delivered to him, according to the affidavit filed with District Judge Michael J. Smith.

Johnnie Jeffreys, 45, has been charged with theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake.

On June 10, a township resident reported a stolen package containing an Apple watch. The delivery driver told police that the package had been delivered to Jeffreys’ address, according to the affidavit. Jeffreys then sold the watch to his coworker.

His preliminary hearing is Sept. 4.

Man cited with harassment

A Londonderry Township man was cited after he allegedly pushed a woman during an argument at a residence on the first block of Hoke Lane, according to the citation filed with District Judge Michael J. Smith.

Lower Swatara police responded at 5:52 p.m. July 29. Ivan Lee Rodgers, 18, has been cited with harassment.

DUI charges for Derry man

A Derry Township has been charged with DUI after he was allegedly parked in the median between the express and local lanes on Route 283.

Pennsylvania State Police responded at 11:13 a.m. July 12. EMS told troopers that the driver, Sawyer Christian Smith, 20, was slouched over his steering wheel, according to the affidavit filed with District Judge Michael J. Smith.

He told police he pulled off because he was tired after taking a double dose of a prescription medication that treats depression and anxiety. Troopers said he had indicators of being impaired during field sobriety tests.

He declined to give a blood draw when he was taken to the booking center. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 5.

Wallet stolen from unlocked car

A wallet containing anywhere from $30 to $150 was stolen from an unlocked car while it was parked in the 1800 block of Scarlett Lane.

The theft was reported at 10:04 a.m. July 24, although the victim told police they believe it happened between Sunday and early Monday.

The theft is under investigation.
