Dolores A. Smith
Dolores Ann (Caldwell) Smith, 79, of Palmyra, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.
She was born on February 20, 1938 in Dunlo, Pa. and was the daughter of the late William C. and Josephine V. (Zolar) Caldwell.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald D. Smith.
Dolores was retired from Frey Village and the Palmyra School District. She enjoyed gardening, the beach, fishing and boating, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, daughter Dawn M. Smith and her partner Josephine Mantia of Lancaster, son David W. Smith of Campbelltown, daughter Deanna J. Proctor of Highspire, and son Daniel M. Smith and his partner Christine Roux of Harrisburg; three sisters Virginia L. Wilkinson and husband Oswald of Washington, Sarah J. Drobnick of Florida, and Judith D. Blair and husband James of Louisiana; three grandchildren Kiara L. Smith of Lancaster, Abaigeal E. Smith, of Harrisburg and Joshua E. Proctor of Highspire; stepgranddaughter Giovanna M. Chamberlain and husband Chris of Mountville; two great-grandchildren Kataleya L. and Anthony Rodriquez-Smith of Lancaster; two stepgreat-grandchildren Roman D. and Penelope R. Chamberlain of Mountville; two stepnieces Mallory and Carly Brandt of New Bloomfield; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A tribute of Dolores’s life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main Street, Middletown, Pa. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, Pa.
