Halbleib, Mostoller get LD honors

Two Lower Dauphin High School seniors recently were honored as Students of the Month for May.

Anna Mostoller was recognized by the Rotary Club of Hummelstown.

Anna, the daughter of Todd and Christine Mostoller, is an accomplished athlete, student and community member. She is a four-year member of the field hockey team and also played girls lacrosse. She is a four-year member of the Volunteen club and is a two-year member of the National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, National English Honor Society and Math Honor Society. She is active with the Mini-THON committee and volunteers as a buddy for Special Olympics and as a counselor with Lower Dauphin’s outdoor education program.

In the community, she plays club field hockey and coaches youth field hockey and at youth field hockey camps.

She will attend Lehigh University and continue her field hockey career with the goal of entering the medical field after graduation.

Brittany Halbleib was recently recognized by the Hummelstown Women’s Club.

Brittany, the daughter of James and Susan Halbleib, is an outstanding student and community member. She is a two-year member of Believers in the Gospel and the Philosophy Club. She is a two-year member of the National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. She played softball for two years and is a member of the rugby team. Brittany is a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions and the Volunteen club.

She is very active with her church and hopes to become a pastor. She volunteers with Lower Dauphin Communities That Care as a study buddy and as a mentor in Club Ophelia.

She will attend Lycoming College, where she will major in religion and then attend seminary.
