Here is a big hello to December. We are gearing up for “farewell time” to the year 2017, in about 25 days. Undoubtedly, this month will fly by. That sounds so cliche, doesn’t it?

My advice? Stick to what is important to you and don’t get caught up in anything that weighs you down or makes you feel overwhelmed. Some wisdom to embrace:

Remember to focus on people and relationships. Listen more than you talk. Practice telling others what you are grateful for, making sure you share less and less of your grievances. You should start to notice people want to be around you as you lift them up with encouragement.

May the season of light and joy fill you as you practice these simple rules. Let me know your news to share. Enjoy your week!

Children will hear exciting lessons right from the Bible, play games, enjoy music time and learn stories about missionaries. Treats and friendship, too!

Quote of the Week

“No matter how hard the world tries to whip me into a frenzy over the next several weeks, God remains the same. He is steady, and he is safe. He is our refuge, and from eternity to eternity (from harvest festivals to New Year’s resolutions), he is God.” — Mary Carver, writer, speaker and blogger.
