The three Republican incumbents on the Lower Swatara Township Board of Commissioners advanced Tuesday to the November general election.
There were three seats up for grabs. With 4 of 4 precincts reporting in the Republican primary, Mike Davies has 529 votes, or 28.3 percent. Jon Wilt has 486 votes, or 26 percent. Todd Truntz has 451 votes, or 24.1 percent.
The fourth Republican candidate, the only non-incumbent, is Donald Wagner. He has 392 votes, or 21 percent.
There is one Democrat running in the primary, so Danielle Prokopchak is all but assured of advancing to the November general election. She received 223 votes, with 77 write-ins.
It's a similar tale in Londonderry Township, with two seats up for grabs on the Board of Supervisors. Three of three precincts are reporting.
In the Republican primary, incumbents Mel Hershey (387 votes, 44.1 percent) and Anna Dale (357 votes, 40.7 percent) defeated challenger Beth Graham (133 votes, 15.2 percent).
There are no Democrats running, although 68 write-ins have been cast in the Democratic race.
