Karns/abc27 fundraiser will benefit Middletown Public Library

Karns and abc27 are holding a sausage fundraiser on Wednesday, and all of the proceeds will be going to the Middletown Public Library.

“It’s a great partnership opportunity,” said Andrea Karns, vice president of sales and marketing.

A part of the Karns Backyard BBQ Summer of Sausage, fundraisers are being held at all Karns stores and proceeds going toward a nonprofit.

The fundraiser will be in the parking lot of Karns’ store at 101 S. Union St. from 5 to 6:30 p.m. or until the food is sold out. For $2, you can get sausage, chips and a drink, although hot dogs will also be available.

Karns said this is the first time the company has held the fundraiser. At the most recent sausage fundraiser in Boiling Springs, she estimated that they sold about 400 meals and raised more than $1,000.

“This has been a great opportunity for us to get out with our customers and raise money for local groups,” she said.

The next fundraiser will be in Hershey with proceeds going toward the Ronald McDonald House.
