First, my son Dan, who is my very best fishing partner, became a father for the third time in April, which limited his free time.
Second, the weather in late May and through the month of June was not very cooperative. It seemed as if we had heavy rains every mid-week during that time that resulted in the water levels becoming a bit too high by the weekends.

Third, my shoulder surgery was last July 3. Six weeks in a sling during the recovery period severely limited my activities.
