Lewis E. Keller Sr.
Lewis E. Keller Sr., 81, of Marysville, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving children.
He was born in Enola to the late George E. Sr. and Frances Wethkamp Keller. Lewis was the husband of the late Grace L. Reigle Keller for 54 years.
Over the years, Lou enjoyed camping, fishing, playing his guitar around campfires, woodworking and spending time with Missy, his family and friends. He was an avid member of the Duncannon High School Alumni. Lewis was a kind caring person and always put others before himself. He graduated from Susquenita High School in 1954 and began working as a plasterer before becoming a truck driver for Penbrook Hauling. A short time later, he completed training and began his life-long career as a diesel mechanic for Penbrook, which later became Daily Express.
He was preceded in death by a feisty fox terrier, his best buddy, Missy, a son, Steven L. Keller Sr., and seven siblings, Richard J. Keller, George E. Keller Jr., Hilda I. Fisher, Helen E. Bolton, David C. Keller, Laura R. Smith and Ruth E. Hilbish.
Lewis is survived by three sons, Wayne D. Reigle of Shermansdale, Lewis E. Jr. (Sheri) and Roger W., both of Marysville; and a daughter, Grace I. Gilbert of Duncannon. In addition, Lewis leaves behind six grandchildren, Steven, Cody, Dustin, Tabitha, Kyle and Lilly; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy M. Keller of Marysville and Virginia Sprague of Lincoln, Calif.
Funeral Services were held at 12 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 in the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Viewings were held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2018 and Monday from 11 a.m. to noon, both at the funeral home.
Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
