State Police charged a Middletown man for molesting a girl in a trailer on Shelley Island in Londonderry Township during the summer of 2017.

Nicholas David Gabner, 40, of the 300 block of Adelia Street, was arraigned before District Judge David Judy on April 29 and charged with unlawful contact with a minor-sexual offenses, corruption of minors, indecent assault without consent, and indecent assault of a person younger than 16 years of age.

The victim was 12 or 13 years old when the incidents occurred, police said in arrest papers filed with Judy.

Bail was set at $10,000 unsecured. A preliminary hearing is set for May 13.

Woman charged for striking child

A Middletown woman faces charges after investigators determined she had injured a 7-year-old child by striking her on the buttocks with a wooden spoon.

Officials at a local elementary school contacted authorities after finding that the child was still bruised and unable to sit without pain seven days after the incident had occurred, borough police said in arrest papers filed with District Judge David Judy.

Lucy Molina, 59, on May 2 was arraigned before Night Court District Judge Paul T. Zozos and charged with simple assault and endangering the welfare of children.

Bail was set at $5,000 unsecured.  A preliminary hearing is set for May 13.

Man allegedly exposed himself

A Middletown man faces indecent exposure and other charges after police said he was standing on his porch at Hemlock Hall in Pineford, completely naked and making noises in front of about 15 people.

Half of those watching were juveniles, borough police said in arrest papers filed with District Judge David Judy.

Steven F. Nonez, 24, of the 500 block of Hemlock Hall, committed the offense between 7:04 p.m. and 11:07 p.m. Thursday, April 18, police said.

Nonez is also charged with resisting arrest, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.

Repeat DUI offender charged again

State Police charged a Lancaster woman with DUI after finding her passed out behind the wheel of a 2015 Toyota Camry in the middle of the intersection of Elizabethtown and Schoolhouse roads in Conewago Township at 1:15 a.m. May 1.

Norma Esther Flores, 50, of the first block of West Farnum Street, showed signs of being impaired from alcohol, police said in arrest papers filed with District Judge David Judy.

Flores told police she had taken prescription medication, including Lorazepam. A partially empty beer can was found in her purse, and five yellow pills were found on her.

Flores consented to a blood draw at the county booking center. Police did not disclose lab results.

Police also determined that Flores’ license was suspended for DUI, and that she had been convicted of two DUIs in the last four years.

Besides DUI, Flores was charged with failure to notify the state of an address change, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.02 percent or greater while under license suspension, obedience to traffic-control devices, careless driving, and restrictions on alcoholic beverages.

Judy set bail at $25,000 unsecured. Flores’ preliminary hearing is set for May 13.

Man charged with assaulting woman

State Police charged  a Londonderry Township man following an incident in the 1500 block of Zion Road on April 27.

Police in arrest papers filed with District Judge David Judy said that Jason Alexander Mullen, 29, of the same address, pushed a woman, dragged her out of a shed,  pushed the woman in the chest and then punched her in the face.

Mullen put his arm around the woman’s neck to restrain her but the victim got free, police said.

Mullen was arraigned April 27 before District Judge Paul T. Zozos and charged with simple assault, harassment, and driving under suspension.

Bail was set at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is set for May 13.
