Middletown Area High School wrestling team celebrates season

The Middletown Area High School held its wrestling banquet Saturday, April 7, at the school.

Recognized were the Blue Raiders’ Mid-Penn Capital Division All-Stars:

First team: Devin Martin, 145 pounds.

Second team: Zach Malay, 113 pounds; Nathan Brady, 132 pounds.

The seniors are Zach Souders, Zac Dailey, and Martin, as well as team manager Zoey Bright.

For the high school wrestlers, Joey Spear won the Coaches Award. Luke Fegley was selected the Most Valuable Wrestler. Malay won the Iron Man Award. Ryan Berstler was picked as Most Improved Wrestler. Nathan Brady won the Earl Bright Jr. Perseverance Award.

Also honored were several junior high school wrestlers. Rhakye Wise won the Earl Bright Jr. Perseverance Award. Jayden Benner won the Most Coachable Award. Vinnie Corradi was selected as the Most Valuable Wrestler.
