Artist shows in Brooklyn
Christine Goldbeck, a local painter, photographer and writer, is among the 15 Daily Painters of Pennsylvania whose work will show at BWAC in Brooklyn from Sept. 22 through Oct. 21.
Goldbeck, who owns Arts on Union, an arts gallery and studio in Middletown, is painting a summer water series in acrylics for the exhibition. “Two of the paintings are representational landscapes while the others are abstractions of the colors and textures of water in the summer, at different times of day,” she explained. “They are all painted with the same colors so that they create a single body of work.”
Mechanicsburg artist Mary Beth Brath founded Daily Painters in 2009, a blog group of professional visual artists who paint daily. Each June, the group exhibits in the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building’s East Wing Rotunda.
Brath is a member of BWAC and exhibited with the Coalition during the “Black and White” exhibit in 2011.

Goldbeck’s paintings and photographs are in state, national and international corporate and private collections. Visit www.christinegoldbeck.com to view more of her work.
“I love being a Daily Painter of Pennsylvania,’’ said Goldbeck. “In fact, I am honored to be among a diverse, renowned and professional group of artists who all have interesting stories to share about themselves and their work.”
