Middletown American Legion Post 594 suffered a rough two weeks on the baseball field, losing three of four games to drop from second place to sixth in the Dauphin County American Legion League.

Middletown, comprised of several players from Middletown Area High School’s baseball team, defeated Dauphin, 7-3, for its only victory.

Middletown’s record dropped to 5-5.

Post 594 lost a close contest, 6-4, to Susquehanna (6-5), which climbed ahead of Middletown in the standings.

Undefeated Hummelstown (9-0) defeated Middletown 15-0, while Upper Dauphin (7-5) moved into a tie for second place with Linglestown by beating Post 594, 10-3.
