Rutter’s is planning more locations in Dauphin County, but the company isn’t saying where yet.

CHR Corp., the parent company of Rutter’s, was the lone successful bidder in all of Dauphin County for acquiring one of 42 restaurant licenses being auctioned off by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board earlier in March.

CHR bid $191,000 to purchase the license, which appears to be for a Rutter’s in the borough of Middletown, according to the list of top bidders made public by the LCB.

However, a Rutter’s spokeswoman told the Press & Journal that Rutter’s can use the license anywhere in the county. The spokeswoman said that Rutter’s plans to expand in Dauphin County are confidential at this time.

York-based Rutter’s has two stores in Dauphin County, one on Derry Street in Hummelstown and the other on Vine Street in Londonderry Township, which opened in September 2014.
