Exelon Corp. will conduct one of its twice-a-year, full volume test of the emergency warning sirens surrounding Three Mile Island nuclear power plant at about 12:15 p.m. Thursday, June 7.

The TMI emergency warning siren system consists of 96 sirens within a 10-mile radius of TMI, located in Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties.

The purpose of the sirens is to alert residents of the area to tune to an Emergency Alert System television or station for information in the event of a TMI emergency.
