Straining was arraigned May 28 before District Judge Gregory D. Johnson and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment. Straining’s bail also was increased to $150,000. Straining was bound over on all charges during a June 18 preliminary hearing before Judy and is to be arraigned in county court on Sept. 7.

According to arrest papers, State Police at 1:46 a.m. May 28 responded to reports of a bloody 21-year-old man lying in the road in the first block of Lark Street.

The victim was taken to the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where he was put into a medically induced coma after medical personnel determined he had suffered a brain breed, according to reports.

Police through an investigation learned that Fisher had slammed the victim into the floor, and was then observed outside choking the victim.

Straining later was found with fresh blood on his shirt, and he was heard by a witness to be bragging about having beaten up the victim, according to police.
