Middletown police have charged a borough woman with harassment after they said she allegedly called a man 70 times in one day.

Brandy Lee Betz, 41, of the first block of East High Street, made the calls between 12:17 a.m. to 2:01 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to arrest records police filed with District Judge David Judy.

Police said Betz continued calling the victim another 18 times as the man was reporting the harassment. Police answered the 18th call and told Betz she would be charged.

Betz is charged with harassment by communication. Her preliminary hearing before Judy is set for March 4.
